5volts is the unique merger of technology and live performances following the synthesizer music tradition.
As a performance, drum machine and TB-303 driven rhythms throb beneath improvised analog and digital synthwork reminiscent of classic Ambient and Berlin-school music. The 5volts project has been active since 2015 with its debut release Opencluster played by Laurent Garnier as the opener to his Boiler Room set in Lyon. 5volts tracks have been released on Italo-disco legend Alexander Robotnick’s Hot Elephant Music, China’s Sinotronics & India’s Wind Horse & Soupherb Records.
In the world of technology 5volts is constantly exploring new territories through varied forms of output like equipment demos, synthesis workshops, residencies, live studio sessions, sound-art projects and custom built digital and analog devices.
